AVON ( 25News Now ) - A Princeville man has died after a Sunday vehicle crash in rural Avon, authorities said Monday.

Police said the early morning crash took place just before 3:45 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, at the intersection of E. County 17 Highway and N. Buchen Road.

Officers identified 29-year-old Jonathan Lant as the driver. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner’s office.

An autopsy was scheduled for Nov. 24 in Peoria County.

The crash remains under investigation.
