Former WWE Tag Team Champions The Headbangers, consisting of Mosh and Thrasher, have officially announced their plans to retire from in-ring competition. In a video posted to social media, the duo revealed that their run as a team will conclude next summer, marking the end of a partnership that has spanned over three decades.

Thrasher, real name Glenn Ruth, opened the announcement by noting the longevity of their team. “June of 2026 will be 33 years that we’ve been together,” Thrasher said. “And with heavy hearts, we’re announcing that on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026… ISPW Legends of Wrestling Night… Wildwoods Convention Center, Wildwood, New Jersey, will be our last match”.
