There wasn’t a chorus of boos Sunday at Rogers Arena.
Nobody threw a jersey on the ice in utter disgust, unlike that wild Dec. 4, 2021, night that still sticks in the memory banks.
A Bo Horvat jersey was flung by a fan in frustration following a 4-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. It put the Vancouver Canucks at 8-15-2 and ownership at odds with its hockey operations department. Head coach Travis Green and general manager Jim Benning were fired the next day.

Sunday was actually somewhat worse.
When you care you get mad and display a vocal level of disgust. But frustrated fans quietly filed out after another disheartening home-ice loss. They’ve seen this movie too many times. They know the ending. The silence was deafening.
