A Highland man is facing multiple felony charges, including attempted murder, after allegedly attacking a woman during a violent domestic dispute at a Lloyd hotel, leaving her seriously injured.
The incident occurred around 3:56 p.m. on November 17, when troopers from the New York State Police Highland barracks responded to a call about a domestic disturbance at a hotel along US-9W in the town of Lloyd, Ulster County.
According to investigators, 32-year-old Mark H. Cannon physically assaulted a 56-year-old woman during the encounter. Authorities say the woman sustained serious injuries after being “repeatedly” struck.
Following the investigation, an Ulster County Grand Jury indicted Cannon on several charges: attempted murder in the second degree and two counts of first-degree assault,
