BROOKINGS, S.D. — No. 1-seeded South Dakota State unglued any momentum North Dakota State had after the Bison’s quarterfinal victory on Sunday over Denver.
The Jackrabbits put a quick solvent on the fourth-seeded Bison on Monday, beating NDSU 25-15, 25-10, 25-20 in the Summit League tournament semifinals at First Bank & Trust Arena.
Lauren Jansen led the Bison with a match-high 17 kills while Ally Barth added five in what was NDSU’s first semifinal appearance since 2023.
The Bison end the season at 17-11 (10-6 Summit).
The Jackrabbits were too strong at the net, finishing with 14 blocks with six coming in the final set. Madison Burr had eight blocks to lead the Jackrabbits, who beat the Bison for the third time this season.
SDSU raced out a 9-1 lead in the first set and held NDSU out
