FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - West Virginia native Jennifer Garner spent the weekend back in her home state, visiting schools and making home visits.
In Fayette County, one family received a special visit from Garner.
Partnering with Save the Children, Garner stopped by the New River Primary School, where Sapphire Burgess’ children are enrolled in the Save the Children–funded kindergarten readiness program.
Melinda Foster, who serves as an early childhood specialist at New River Primary, said that when Garner sat down on the floor with the Burgess family, she immediately developed a relationship with them.
Garner also visited Clay Elementary School in Clay County and partnered with the Mountaineer Food Bank for their Extra Mile Feeding Program, designed to deliver food directly to hom
