FARRAGUT, Tenn. — For the past several years, the Town of Farragut has kicked off the holiday season with a massive light display.
The Town's Communications Manager, Wendy Smith, said the tradition has been around for about 15 years.
"Countdown to Light the Park is one of the things that people look forward to every year," she said. "There's a lot of great entertainment that happens before the lights come on. Then Santa goes up on the stage, and the board of mayor and aldermen are on the stage. They flip the lights together, and everybody just really enjoys that moment of excitement, and the lights are beautiful."
