Welfare Check

WINTERHAVEN — Deputy Contreras responded to a welfare check on San Pascual Rd. and Picacho Rd. on Monday, Nov. 17. The reporting party advised that an elderly man, possibly in his seventies, was walking on the side of the road without adequate

The reporting party said the man was possibly in need of medical aid. The reporting party was standing by with the subject in a gray Ford Explorer.

A neighbor who lived near the elderly man advised authorities that the man may not have taken his medication. Police contacted the man’s friend, who rents his residence, who agreed to take care of the subject and bring him back home. The subject said he went out to get water and forgot his way back home. Police took a report of the incident.
