Bruce and Sue, a devoted couple from Maui, Hawaii, spend their lives helping animals in need. Over the years, they have faced many difficult rescues, but some situations are truly shocking.

During one of their routine feeding rounds, they came across a heartbreaking scene.

A helpless animal had its head stuck inside a hole in a concrete wall and was struggling desperately to free herself. Though taken aback, Bruce and Sue knew they had to act quickly to prevent further harm.

The couple immediately contacted the Maui Humane Society . Within minutes, Officer Kaitlyn Mason from the Department of Humane Enforcement arrived at the scene.
