The Colts do not plan to shed any further light on the nature of the fibula injury Daniel Jones is battling right now.
Jones initially felt discomfort on Thursday, earned a limited designation in practice on Thursday and practiced in full before playing all 51 offensive snaps in a 23-20 loss to Kansas City on Sunday.
The quarterback ran three times for 16 yards, but Jones was not quite as aggressive as he’d been on scrambles before the bye, opting to coast out of bounds on one first-down run and sliding on another.
Jones may have simply been making the safe decision.
“All I’ve got for you is he’s got a fibula, and that’s it,” Indianapolis head coach Shane Steichen said. Need a news break? Check out the all new PLAY hub with puzzles, games and more!
