As November began, visions of a top 10 matchup were still alive for the first ever Georgia football game against Georgia Tech in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

“TOP 10 Rivalry on the biggest stage.

The Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate rivalry is bigger than ever this year.”

That was an email sent by event organizers on Oct. 21 to fans to buy tickets.

The Bulldogs have more then held up to their end of things. They will roll into the Black Friday game on Nov. 28 in Atlanta on a seven-game winning streak including wins over Ole Miss and Texas.

Georgia Tech ? Not so much.

The Yellow Jackets have lost two of their last three games — to N.C. State and Pittsburgh — after an 8-0 start. Their win in that stretch was by just two points at a Boston College team that is 1-10.
