One person has been taken to hospital after a 'serious' crash which closed the A19 overnight.
Emergency services were called to a crash on the northbound carriageway between Seaham and junction A690 near Herrington at 11.03pm last night (November 24).
A section of the road was closed both ways until around 8am this morning (November 25) when the southbound carriageway was reopened. The northbound carriageway was opened at 9.50am.
