A section of Manchester's Christmas markets ground to a halt on Sunday evening when two notorious Travellers with a longstanding feud became embroiled in a brawl in front of stunned spectators.

The fight kicked off in Exchange Square outside Selfridges at 4.35pm when Dougie Joyce, recently freed from jail, and his longtime adversary Simon 'Simey' McGinley clashed outside the upmarket department store. The opening moments of the brawl, filmed and circulated online, showed the pair scrapping before tumbling to the pavement.
