WESTBOUND: As reported by Bain & Company, the U.S.A. is buoyed by renewed domestic demand and Altgamma’s 2026 consensus states that North America is expected to grow 4.5 percent with an increasing number of high-net-worth individuals.

This scenario is tempting several luxury goods house to look stateside. On Tuesday, Gucci revealed it will present its cruise 2027 collection in New York on May 16. This presentation will mark Demna’ s first cruise collection for the Italian luxury house, following his debut fashion show in February in Milan. The venue is still under wraps.

That said, New York also holds a key place in Gucci ’s history, as it opened its first store outside of Italy in that city in 1953 – a first step into the brand’s global expansion.
