Marks & Spencer has identified a list of 500 potential locations for new or revamped food stores in the UK - including multiple in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

The expansion plans form part of a vision to double the size of the food company, with M&S already looking to open or makeover 20 branches by the end of the financial year.

This would create 800 new jobs in a major development for the British high street.

As M&S continue to conquer Britain, it is strategically picking locations which could host new branches, with its Food stores the latest concept to face expansion.
