FLINT, MI - Dinosaurs are set to take over the Flint Cultural Center next year as Sloan Museum of Discovery and Longway Planetarium prepare to debut two large-scale prehistoric attractions in January 2026.
Sloan Museum will open “ICE DINOSAURS: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic” on Jan. 20, 2026.
Produced by Imagine, the hands-on exhibit explores the polar dinosaurs that once lived in the frigid, dark and snowy conditions of the ancient Arctic. Visitors will encounter life-size reconstructions, animatronics, fossils and multimedia displays that illustrate how these species adapted to extreme environments.
The exhibition also highlights the work of paleontologists who research the region, offering insight into how scientists uncover clues about long-extinct animals and what those find
