OMAHA, Neb. —
Travel is ramping up for Thanksgiving week. Though the drive into the holiday should be mostly uneventful, snow chances increase for Black Friday and the weekend.
First though, watch out for strong wind Tuesday with a wind advisory in effect for the Omaha metro and high wind warnings issued for central and western Nebraska. Plan for northwest wind gusts 40-55 mph in the metro in the afternoon and evening. Gusts up to 60 mph are possible in the warning area. Expect highs around 50 degrees early in the day and then falling into the 40s by the afternoon.
