While the Upper Peninsula is preparing for "a storm to remember," the system moving into Michigan will bring a rain-snow mix to Greater Lansing leaving about 2 inches of snow on the ground by Friday, Nov. 28.
" Poor holiday travel conditions will be developing across Michigan on Wednesday (Nov. 26) as snow and wind arrive. Wind gusts of 40-60 mph could cause power outages especially along the lakeshore. Lake effect snow and blowing snow could cause travel problems into Thanksgiving," the Grand Rapids National Weather Service office said on X on Nov. 24.
