Emmerdale's Kev Townsend and Emma Barton share an unexpected real-life link

It has been a busy year in the Dales so far and the ITV soap shows no signs of slowing down.

Emmerdale viewers will know that Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) made his debut back in May, where he was introduced as Ross Barton's (Michael Parr) secret half-brother.

Ahead of Lewis's appearance, Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) stumbled upon a letter intended for "The Family of Emma Barton".

ITV soap fans will recall that Moira was responsible for Emma's (Gillian Kearney) death back in 2017 after the villain kidnapped her baby, Isaac.

Moira later told Ross about the letter, and he decided to meet up with Lewis. The pair have since formed a close bond, and have recently moved into Dale View together with Vinny Dingl
