WASHINGTON —
This year's Thanksgiving travel is expected to break records with nearly 82 million Americans traveling, and six million expected to take a domestic flight, according to AAA .
As more people are expected to fly, a 2% increase from last year, airport security lines may be longer.
The Get the Facts Data Team analyzed security wait times at the 30 busiest commercial airports in the U.S., known as the "Core 30" by the Federal Aviation Administration .
The airport with the worst wait time was John F. Kennedy International in New York, where nearly 96% hours of the day had average wait times of 15 to 30 minutes. Logan International in Massachusetts had the best wait times, with nearly 99% of hours averaging less than 15 minutes.
