Friends of Music has given C.W. Shipley Elementary School in Harpers Ferry a grant of $350 to purchase various items for its music program.

The items include a glockenspiel, a music method book, and a “stretchy band”: a large, flexible loop of tubing used to teach music concepts like rhythm and beat through movement and cooperation.
