Ji’Ayir Brown helped the San Francisco 49ers secure a key NFC win with a his first two interceptions of the season in a 20-9 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football.
“I always pride myself on being a ballhawk,” Brown said at the postgame podium .
It’s been an up-and-down season for the Trenton High product as he lost his starting job in training camp but has since regained it.
“It’s been slow, but just keep getting at it, keep going, taking it game by game and waiting on your opportunity,” Brown said.
He had his best game under the primetime lights.
His first pick came near the end of the first quarter after a sudden change set the visiting Panthers up with a first-and-goal from the 2-yard line.
