PORTAGE, MI — A man was sentenced for murdering a toddler he was watching, court records show.
Brandon Bryce Sullivan, 32, was sentenced to life in prison Friday, Nov. 21, in Kalamazoo County Circuit Court.
Sullivan was charged and convicted of killing Jacob Flowers, an 18-month-old Sullivan and his girlfriend were babysitting on Dec. 15, 2022, at their apartment in the 6100 block of Applegrove Lane.
Jacob was injured and taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital where he died the next day, police have said.
A jury found Sullivan guilty of felony murder and first-degree child abuse in October.

Around 5:50 p.m. on Dec. 15, 2022, officers responded to the home for a report of an unresponsive toddler.
