Ke’Rynn Smith showcased a hard-charging running ability over multiple seasons of carrying the football for the Holy Cross varsity team.

Now with his senior season concluded, the 5-foot-7, 186-pound running back announced his commitment to play in college at UL.

“Blessed to announce my commitment to the Ragin Cajuns,” he wrote in a social media post Tuesday, just over a week before the early signing period begins Dec. 3.

Smith showcased his production when he ran for 214 yards on 31 carries and scored six touchdowns (five rushing, one receiving) in a district win against Warren Easton this season. Smith went 41 yards on a screen pass to score the receiving touchdown.

Much of that production came after halftime.
