It might only last three days, but a Christmas Market in the North East has impressed experts enough to make the UK top 10 for 2025. And it's return for this year is now just days away.

When it comes to the festive season, a visit to at least one Christmas Market goes straight to the top of many people's to-do lists, with it becoming an annual tradition for many couples, groups of friends and families. Earlier this month Newcastle Christmas Market opened right in the heart of town, with stalls and attractions in five different locations throughout Newcastle city centre : Monument, Grey Street, Grainger Street, Old Eldon Square and new addition for 2025 - Nelson Street.
