OMAHA, Neb. —

Solid waste collection for the city of Omaha will be delayed for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Officials said there will be no collection of garbage, yard waste or recycling on Thursday.

Thursday's collection will be moved to Friday and Friday's collection will be moved to Saturday.

Residents are reminded to put carts and yard waste bags out for collection no later than 6 a.m. on collection day.

Collections will resume their normal schedule next week.

Next week is the last week for free yard waste collection.
