Jauan Jennings took a low blow at the end of the 49ers' 20-9 win over the Carolina Panthers on Monday night, and he likely will pay the price for retaliating.
Panthers safety Tre'Von Moehrig struck Jennings below the belt with under three minutes remaining in the game at Levi's Stadium, and Jennings responded by striking Moehrig as the teams converged for postgame handshakes.
Jennings could face a suspension from the NFL for his actions. The 49ers travel to Cleveland to take on Shedeur Sanders and the Browns at 10 a.m. PT on Sunday.
"Man, TV is going to tell you what happened," Jennings told reporters after the win. "I was just responding, to me, to some childish behavior. That's all it was."
