Tre'von Moehrig explains hitting Jauan Jennings below the belt prior to postgame fight

After the conclusion of the Week 12 game between the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers , wide receiver Jauan Jennings struck safety Tre'von Moehrig.

The brief scuffle between the two players occurred while the teams were meeting for post-game handshakes. Jennings walked up to the Panthers safety and unloaded an open-handed strike on Moehrig before the two players were separated.

It was quickly revealed why Jennings did what he did, as Moehrig was spotted on video hitting Jennings below the belt before the conclusion of the game.
