Anne Arundel County police arrested a 58-year-old man for assault after he allegedly pointed a gun at three 12-year-old girls singing Christmas carols.

Officers responded to the 1700 block of Point No Point Drive in Annapolis just after 9 p.m. Saturday for a report of an assault.

An investigation revealed that the girls were going door-to-door in the area singing Christmas carols. That is when a man allegedly pointed a firearm at them from a window inside his residence.

The suspect, later identified as Paul Brian Susie, was located and taken into custody. The firearm, a .40 caliber Glock handgun, was recovered.

Susie was charged with first- and second-degree assault and related charges.
