Young women around Glasgow are using billboards to protest against the 'everyday sexism and coercive behaviour' they experience.
Led by Glasgow Girls Club and inspired by Scots writer Len Pennie, the 'billboard takeover' gave 30 young women from local schools, youth organisations and community groups an opportunity to design artworks that are to be platformed in more than 25 different sites around the city.
Their campaign unveiled a huge 96-sheet billboard on Tradeston Street today (November 25) that reads: "It's not girls who need teaching the art of rejection".
The project's launch coincides with the UN-backed 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, which raises awareness of modern misogyny and all forms of sexism women still face across the world.
