CHICAGO (WISN/WBAY) - Morgan Geyser, convicted in the 2014 “Slender Man” stabbing, waived her right to an extradition hearing in a Chicago courtroom on Tuesday, according to Milwaukee affiliate WISN .
The hearing lasted less than 10 minutes. Geyser, 23, appeared in a blue jail jumpsuit and was handcuffed behind her back. She was in court on a warrant for first-degree attempted homicide.
The judge stated that Waukesha County, Wisconsin, has 30 days to transport her, but added, “hopefully it’ll be much quicker than that and you can get back there and get this matter resolved.”
Geyser’s court appearance follows her arrest on Sunday, Nov. 23, at a truck stop in Posen, Illinois. The arrest ended a 24-hour search after she escaped from a Madison group home.
