Netflix's live-action Assassin's Creed show has cast its first major lead role in a promising production update for the video game adaptation. Netflix's Assassin's Creed series was originally announced in 2020 as part of a deal with video game studio Ubisoft. Since then, however, there have been sparse updates about production or when the series might come out.
Now, Deadline reports that Toby Wallace has been cast as the co-lead in the live-action Assassin's Creed adaptation. Much like the original video game series, the TV show will focus on the fight between two organizations, presumably the Assassins and the Templars. Details about Wallace's character haven't been revealed, but the series' characters will differ from those in the games.
