DENVER (KDVR) — The vehicle that started a deadly crash that killed five people Monday night near Franktown was reported stolen an hour before the crash, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The crash happened at about 4:30 p.m. Monday on Colorado Highway 83 just south of Franktown in Douglas County. Officials had originally said three vehicles were involved but later said the third was not actually damaged.
