MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WATE) — Harvey C. Gollahan was sentenced to 20 years in the “Baby Elena” case after his plea deal was accepted in court Tuesday morning.

In October, NewsNation local affiliate WATE learned that Gollahan had signed a plea agreement after being indicted in connection with the death of 17-month-old Elena Hembree. He was sentenced to 15 years on three counts of second-degree criminal abuse. This will run consecutive to a separate indictment for trafficking, menacing, criminal mischief, tampering with evidence, resisting arrest and violation of an Emergency Protective Order for which he was sentenced to five years
