JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) - A 17-year-old boy pleaded not guilty Tuesday in the deadly Rock County crash that killed one teen and injured several others.
Online court records show Carter Perteete appeared in Rock County Circuit Court, where he pleaded not guilty to homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle and three counts of reckless driving.
Perteete’s curfew, as set in his bond conditions, was also modified from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily to 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily.
Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig also ordered a bindover, meaning trial dates can be scheduled.
The crash was reported around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, on S. Emerald Grove Road and E. Larsen Road, in the Town of Bradford.
The criminal complaint stated there were five people in the car at the time, with Perteete
