HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - Three people are behind bars after an early-morning robbery in Hattiesburg.

According to the Hattiesburg Police Department, officers responded to reports of a stolen vehicle around 2:20 a.m. When officers arrived, they learned that the victim had been visiting a friend when two black men allegedly attacked him and demanded his keys and wallet.

The two suspects, along with the friend the victim was visiting, fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

HPD officers, the Forrest County Sheriff’s Office, and the University of Southern Mississippi Police Department coordinated to locate the suspects and take them into custody.
