DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Sam Wiley with the Rock Island County Animal Care and Control Shelter introduces Gru.

Wiley said Gru was a stray and has two siblings.

Gru is 8-weeks-old, playful and fun.

Adoption for the Holidays?

Wiley said she recommends not to adopt a pet and give it to someone as a gift. Pets are a lifetime commitment and should be a mutual decision.

A gift certificate or volunteer opportunities may be more beneficial, Wiley said.

Crawford Brewing Fundraiser

The shelter is guest bartending Tuesday night at Crawford Brewing. A portion of sales of one of the brewery’s ales as well as tips go towards the shelter.
