JACKSONVILLE, Ark. — Officials with the City of Jacksonville announced on Tuesday that they have been made aware of a situation involving an elected official and a city employee.

They stated that the city employee has since been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.

Information as to what exactly the "situation" is remains extremely limited at this time, but we are working to learn more.

However, officials did confirm that there is no indication of any criminal activity involved in the matter.

The investigation into the incident is active.
