A Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office vehicle was involved in a crash on the Palmetto Expressway on Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened in the northbound lanes of the Expressway near 74th Street near Medley.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed the sheriff's office vehicle heavily damaged.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials confirmed one adult was take by ground to a local hospital from the scene.

The crash left multiple lanes of the expressway closed.

No other information was immediately available.
