ASHBURN, Va. — The post-bye week period got off to a good start for the Washington Commanders when head coach Dan Quinn announced that quarterback Jayden Daniels had returned to practice, albeit while not being cleared for contact just yet.
That means that, while Quinn emphasized Daniels is unlikely to play against the Denver Broncos this weekend, his return is close. Perhaps as close as when the Commanders visit the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14, two weeks from now.
Of course, the news also revitalized the conversation surrounding Daniels and the three injuries he’s suffered this season alone, which has left some believing Washington should just shut the quarterback down for the rest of the year in order to preserve his health for 2026.
