"Stranger Things" fans are one step closer to re-entering the Upside Down.

The first four episodes of "Stranger Things" Season 5 premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, Nov. 26. The remaining episodes will release on Christmas and New Year's Eve. Season 5 has been confirmed to be the series finale.

Season 5 of "Stranger Things" starts with a time jump to fall 1987, after Hawkins, Indiana, experiences the opening of the Rifts. Will, Mike, Lucas and the rest of the gang are on a mission to find and kill Vecna, whose whereabouts are unknown.

"Complicating their mission, the government has placed the town under military quarantine and intensified its hunt for Eleven, forcing her back into hiding," reads Netflix's show's synopsis. "As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, so does a heavy, familiar dread.

"The final battle is looming – and with it, a darkness more powerful and more deadly than anything they've faced before. To end this nightmare, they’ll need everyone – the full party – standing together, one last time."
