JANESVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) — A 17-year-old charged in a crash that killed a 15-year-old boy in the Town of Bradford pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Rock County Circuit Court.
Carter R. Perteete, of Beloit, is charged with homicide by negligent use of a vehicle.
In addition to entering a plea at the preliminary hearing, Perteete was bound over for the filing of information and a jury trial could be scheduled.
The Rock County Sheriff's Office said Perteete lost control of the Volkswagen Rabbit he was driving on Nov. 4. The vehicle rolled multiple times before stopping in a corn field. A 15-year-old boy was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Perteete is also facing two counts of reckless driving causing great bodily harm and one count of reckless driving causing injury
