Chelsea ’s young side came of age in spectacular fashion as they beat 10-man Barcelona 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League .

The Blues started on the front foot, with Enzo Fernandez twice having the ball in the back of the net before VAR intervened, but they finally found the breakthrough as Jules Kounde failed to clear Pedro Neto’s close-range flick .

Barcelona were then reduced to ten men on the stroke of half-time as captain Ronald Araujo was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Chelsea continued where they had left off after the break and found the goals to put the game to bed as Estevao and Liam Delap scored to put the Blues 3-0 up and cap a thoroughly impressive evening for the west Londoners .
