HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Among the deals of the season, there’s danger lurking to steal your joy this holiday.

The Better Business Bureau said online shopping scams are up 125% compared to last year, and that number will likely increase with Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up.

To help you shop safely this season, West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey recommends people make online purchases using a credit card rather than a debit card.

Morrisey also says watch out for deals that seem too good to be true.
