LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Tuesday at Louisville Muhammad Ali Airport (SDF) was a time to fly for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Less than two weeks after the end of the government shutdown, passengers who were once thinking about canceling were again just concentrating on getting to their destinations.
“I just want to be safe,” holiday traveler Ruth Wuerth said. “But, it looks like everything is going to be okay now.”
The FAA predicts this will be the busiest Thanksgiving travel time in 15 years, with 360,000 flights scheduled.
Tuesday was the single busiest travel day with 52,000 flights.
SDF passengers came prepared to be patient.
