A nonprofit focused on improving hospital safety and quality in the U.S. gave nine Arizona hospitals an "A" grade in its biennial hospital safety report card .
The report by the LeapFrog Group rates general hospitals from A to F based on their ability to prevent medical errors, infections, accidents and other “avoidable harms.” In all, it gave more than 60% of Arizona hospitals at least a "C" for their safety.
