LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville's mayor believes the city is prepared for any snow that could be in the forecast this season.
Mayor Craig Greenberg said during a news conference Tuesday he's been thinking about winter weather preparedness since last winter's historic snow.
He said after that snowfall, the city brought in outside consultants.
Those consultants recommended the Metro update its snow team, equipment and routes, as well as improve the coordination and communication across different departments.

Now, there are more than 200 people on the city's snow team, and there are more than 100 vehicles to fight snow, the mayor said. That includes eight new dump trucks and three new pickup trucks.
