BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Across our community, we’re seeing organizations and individuals join together to make sure everyone who wants a hearty Thanksgiving meal has one.

That’s exactly what happened Tuesday morning in Old Town, where a grocery store and church partnered up to hand out dozens of turkey baskets.

“We are delivering some turkey baskets. Well, when I say some, 80,” explained Bob Craft, owner, Orono & Calais IGA.

Orono IGA staff spent their Sunday packing 300 turkey baskets. Just two days later, 80 of those boxes of birds with all the fixings arrived at Holy Family Catholic Church in Old Town.
