Urban Outfitters Inc. announced on Wednesday sales for the third quarter increased 12.3% to a record $1.53 billion, as the U.S. company consolidating growth once again across all brands and channels.
The Philadelphia-based company said retail sales increased 9.6%, with comparable retail sales increasing 8% for the quarter ending October 31, driven by high single-digit growth in both digital channel sales and retail store sales.
By brand, comparable sales surged 12.5% at Urban Outfitters, rose 7.6% at Anthropologie and lifted 4.1% at Free People . Subscription sales increased by 48.7%, thanks to a 42.2% increase in average active subscribers.
