MONROE, Conn. (WFSB) - Members with Monroe Animal Control helped an owl on Monday night.
At around 10 p.m. animal control officers was called to the area of Cutlers Farm Road after a report of an injured barrel owl, officials said.
Staff members were able to safely rescue the owl and transported him to Christine’s Critters Inc., a non-profit organization that specializes in rescues and rehabilitation for birds of prey in Connecticut.
“We are wishing this beautiful bird a speedy recovery and know that he will be in the best hands,” said Monroe Animal Control in a social media post.
